Description: This large-scale installation was commissioned by the FE McWilliam Gallery as part of the group exhibition Penumbra. The idea behind the works construction was to hold the large central space of the gallery but also to present a work that would invite the viewer/audience to walk around and through that space in new and surprising ways. 

 

The paintings within the construction all take their starting point in CYM colour combinations and I have attempted to make the ‘same’ painting in 3 differing scales all importantly presented away from the traditional gallery wall frontal viewing. These are works that hover between painting and sculpture and are intended to allow the viewer to experience them as both.
